I entered the right password but it’s still not working

If you are sure your LinkedIn password is correct, the connection can still fail when LinkedIn needs an extra security check or the session is unstable.

Here are the most common reasons and what to do next.

Two-factor authentication (2FA)

LinkedIn may require an additional approval step before Looply can finish connecting the sender.

What to do:

Check your email for a LinkedIn verification message.
Check your phone for an SMS code.
Check your LinkedIn app notifications for a login approval prompt.
Check your 2FA or authenticator app if your account uses one.
Approve the login or enter the code, then try the connection again in Looply.

If no code arrives or the code does not work:

Wait 5–10 minutes.
Try once again.
Open LinkedIn directly to confirm no security prompt is pending.
Contact support from the chat if the connection still fails.

Temporary LinkedIn restriction

Sometimes LinkedIn temporarily blocks new login attempts even when the password is correct.

What to do:

Wait 15–30 minutes before trying again.
Retry from a stable login location that matches how you normally use LinkedIn.
Avoid repeated attempts in a short period.
Avoid VPN changes, travel-location changes, or switching networks while connecting.

Session conflict

Too many active LinkedIn sessions, browser changes, or recent logouts can make a connection attempt fail.

What to do:

Log out of LinkedIn everywhere.
Restart your browser.
Use the device and browser you normally use for LinkedIn.
Go back to Settings → LinkedIn Accounts in Looply and retry the connection.
