How to manually add warm leads (step-by-step)

Manual import is useful when you already know who you want to contact, or when you find warm prospects outside an AI Agent.

In Looply, you can add those people from Contacts → Add leads, then organize them into Contact Lists or Campaigns depending on the workflow you want to run.

Video guide coming soon. Follow the steps below for now.

Before you start

Before importing, decide where the leads should go and whether they are ready for outreach.

Start from Contacts → Add leads.
Choose whether the leads should go into a Contact List or directly into a Campaign source.
Make sure LinkedIn is connected when you are importing LinkedIn-based leads or planning to run LinkedIn campaign steps.
Use prospects you have a clear reason to contact, such as relevant activity, existing relationship, or strong ICP fit.

Add leads from LinkedIn connections

This is best when you want to work from people you are already connected with on LinkedIn.

Go to Contacts → Add leads.
Choose LinkedIn Connections.
Search or filter for the people you want to import.
Select the profiles that look relevant.
Import them into Contacts, a Contact List, or the Campaign source you are building.

Those contacts will now be available in your workspace, so your team can review them, enrich them where available, and use them in outbound workflows.

Add leads from a CSV

CSV Import is useful when you already have a qualified list from another source and want to organize it inside Looply.

Go to Contacts → Add leads.
Choose CSV Import.
Upload your file and map the columns, such as name, company, email, or LinkedIn profile URL.
Choose or create the Contact List where those leads should be stored.
Confirm the import and review the results once Looply finishes processing the file.

Add leads from an existing Contact List

If the people already exist in Looply, you can reuse them instead of importing the same audience again.

Open Contacts → Add leads, or open the Campaign where you want to add a source.
Choose My Contacts or select an existing Contact List.
Review the people you want to use.
Add them to the Campaign or keep them organized in the workspace for later.

Add leads from LinkedIn post engagement

If the LinkedIn post engagement import is available in your workspace, use it to add people who already engaged with a relevant conversation.

Open Contacts → Add leads.
Choose the LinkedIn post engagement import option.
Paste the LinkedIn post URL you want to import from.
Start the import and wait for Looply to finish reading the visible engagement.
Review the imported people before adding them to a Contact List or Campaign.
This works best when the post is closely related to your market. Engagement alone is not enough: still check ICP fit before starting outreach.

Important notes

Manual imports may need review before outreach because they are not always as context-rich as AI Agent leads.
Imported leads may need enrichment before email steps are available.
Avoid importing very broad lists. Smaller, more relevant audiences usually produce better conversations.
Keep campaign actions organized inside Looply so sender activity, follow-ups, and replies stay easy to track.
A warm lead is not just a name in a list. The best manual imports are people with a clear reason for outreach: relationship, relevance, recent activity, or strong ICP fit.
